glad it's finally over after 40-45 hours...
gotta take my time when working full colors, a mistake never forgive

Final Fantasy will always be remember by our generation, I've been playing from a very young age in the basement on a wooden encased TV and still now today on an LCD...
This drawing is a tribute to that wonderful franchise that moved so many of us back and forth in a legendary world.
I'd like to dedicate it to :iconcataclysm-x:
a very skillful portrait artist, one of the first I met here on DA, but also one of the best

This is a mixed media piece and when I say mixed, I mean it!
Oil background and highlights
Aquarel pencils mainly used along with markers for wide areas backgrounds
White acrylic highlights
some graphite to help thin lines and main sketch
11*14'' Bristol smooth board
lots of patience

Vincent is my favorite. =D When I was just a child we could not afford a PC that's able to run FFVII - now even my phone could run it... - but I dreamt so much about playing it. Later I played with FFVIII and IX, and now, more than a decade later, I actually got the game and started playing.

Sephiroth... he should be encased in silver, and taught as a perfect antagonist. So many layers of only one character...

I don't know where to begin with this one. You've taken a wonderful character and given him a fitting tribute. The color highlights are beautiful and his eyes look gorgeous. I love the way that you did Cerberus. The glint off it is amazing. The background looks like he's at sunset. I wish I could say more but I find myself at a lack of words. Thank you so, so much for sharing this wonderful work.
