work-in-progress for my Gandalf (Hobbit version)
card size 2.5*3.5 inch
My reference is the main Gandalf poster but with a different perspective and my color palette is much more colorful.
tool used--)
Bruynzeel design aquarel (linings, erase well, will blend with marker)
marker : Touch, Promarker (area, blending)
colored copic multiliner SP 0.05 ans 0.03 (detail)
prismacolor verithin (detail)
prismacolor premier (use over dark surfaces for highlights or to enlight a part that has been darkened to much with markers)
copic white
precision brush
eraser (erase and absorb small pencil fragments that can get in the way of markers)
Stabilo-all surface, very useful
pencil extension

Do you habe a Video how you draw ? I have problems with human beings and shadings... I always look like dirt or has a comic look :S Creatures are not my problem but humas skin is so frustrating vor me
Do you have some tips how you shade with copic and get the skin tone right ? and how many colors do you use for the skin ? i think my problem is that i see to many colors in pictures and then shade with to many copics
