Wow not only is this drawing the exact likeness of Queen Padmé Amidala played by natalie portman from star wars, but the depth and detail you use with your style is exceptional this picture is glowing with talent like the little diamonds in her crown the lighting in her hair and the lighting in her dress, you have got her expression and her skin tone is so well blended,I swear I'm looking at a photo well done mate to think this is on a sketch card its such an amazing job keep up the great work mate cant wait to see more.

I love the colors in the hair and the texture of the sleeves. Wish the photograph were more detailed (for a closer view) The drawing itself is amazing, the only thing I can think of helping it (which can't be changed, but future reference it may be useful to consider) is that while the way her hair glows is absolutely beautiful it draws attention away from her face, and the bright splash of light in the blue negative space by her forehead does the same, it would help if the brightest white were a glimmer in her eyes or near them on her face. It would also help the gown to stand out if the background were not the same white as the gown, however the spaces in the background could still represent white by being made up of other colors (not sure if you know what I mean, I would have to find an example). Another thing that would be great about that is that it would allow the negative space to lead into her figure because the white circular (headdress I think) creates spaces that act like arrows drawing us into her face, if they were shaded slightly different then the rest of the gown it would allow this happen, but because they are the same white that effect is lost. Again on the beautiful hair glowing, it may allow it to hold that same glow if it were created from a warm light (rather then white noon light) if you had added even more colors to the hair, like some yellows and reds to warm the glow and creating a different kind of light then the white of the gown, that way the slight textures on the sleeves would stand out more too. It's gorgeous work though,
You're an inspiring artist to me, I look up to your work and desire to reach up to that same skillful level. I love it!

The whole piece is exceptional. But I'm really enjoying the subtle detailing in the ruffles on her dress.

Very nice work again David :).

My next one is a Amidala drawing too. You know she´s wearing this big heavy looking red costume with these big "things" in her hair :giggle:
