Profile & Licensed Work

My name is David Desbois and I’m a freelance artist from Canada. I specialize in TV show/movie related art. I use a unique technique: watercolor pencil blended with marker. I mostly do COMMISSIONS for private individuals or working for some official sketch card sets that I have interest in. Price is determined by complexity, size and subject.

Hi David! I've been a fan of yours for years! Love the look of your work - so vibrant and striking in the minute, intricate details that you put into every art card (amazing how you can work on such a small scale)!
I have a quick question for you, if you have a moment. I'm trying to get more into drawing with pencil crayons and markers, but am having a tough time with figuring out what to use for highlights. White pencil crayon isn't *white* enough for my liking and white markers doesn't show up either.
What tools/products do you use to get your eye-catching white/lighter colored highlights?
Thanks in advance! ;)

thanks a lot, I use copic opaque white with a brush, for extra white; just check my signature on my latest piece 'JAX'
if you are looking for more of a blending effect, such as (using same piece as ref) his forehead part, where I need to blend in the grey a bit, the STABILO-All is just wonder, I use this pencil a lot and have plenty of them
using for white highlight on colored surfaced or just diminish the value of a color
finally, for pale colored highlight, PRISMACOLOR premier, very useful
( used a red one for the 'A' of anarchy), it shows welll, even on dark cuz they are very soft pencils
